ClearVision Optical Named to Newsday’s List of ‘Best Companies to Work For’

(PRESS RELEASE) HAUPPAUGE, NY – ClearVision Optical, a Long Island-based eyewear distributor, has been named to Newsday’s list of Best Companies to Work for in 2019. The distinction is the latest in a list of honors for ClearVision, including being named as one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York State for four consecutive years.

Along with other nominees, ClearVision was honored at a gala awards night on Oct. 23 at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, NY. During the ceremony, ClearVision was recognized alongside 80 other businesses on Long Island with the distinction of being a top workplace within the community. Specifically, ClearVision joined 40 other local businesses in the Small Employers Category, defined as having 50 to 149 Long Island workers.

“The entire ClearVision family is proud to earn this esteemed distinction as one of Long Island’s best places to work, particularly on the heels of our 70th anniversary year,” said Jennifer Trakhtenberg, senior talent leader at ClearVision. “Staying true to our roots as a values-based organization has been at the heart of our culture since our inception in 1949, and has allowed ClearVision to develop dynamic talent, focus on innovation, remain committed to our community and deliver renowned service.”

Working in tandem with Energage, Newsday anonymously polled more than 16,000 employees at 117 Long Island employers to identify the top workplaces on Long Island.

“We look forward to participating in the employee survey each year and helping ClearVision achieve this recognition in our local area,” said David Friedfeld, president at ClearVision Optical. “The leadership team at ClearVision has a commitment to fostering and encouraging open communication, and every employee is given the opportunity to contribute and share their voice. Our team is proud to work for a company that encourages employees to raise their hand and recognizes each unique opinion and perspective.”
