A pair of sunglasses that belonged to Elvis Presley sold for $159,900, according to an article published by Forbes.

Forbes contributor Simon Thompson writes that it’s “the highest price ever paid at auction” for a pair of the music icon’s glasses.

The Legends of Hollywood & Music Auction website describes the eyewear:

Elvis Presley’s Personally Owned “Last Hawaiian Vacation” 14K, Chrome & Plastic Custom Sunglasses W/Prescription Lenses (Never Previously Offered At Auction) W/Letter of Authenticity.

“Elvis was photographed wearing the glasses on multiple occasions, including on his last summer vacation in Hawaii in 1977 …,” according to the site. “These spectacular sunglasses have Elvis’ mild prescription lenses, have never been previously offered at auction.”

The auction was held in Los Angeles.
