(PRESS RELEASE) The Gigi and Carl Allen Envision Research Institute (ERI) formally announces Dr. Jeremy Barton as a new Research Fellow. With a doctoral background in Applied Physics and extensive research contributions on human disease, Dr. Barton’s expertise will be invaluable to ERI’s research framework. His tenure, financed by the Lucier Family Fund, will primarily focus on the analytical evaluation of a novel mobile telemedicine device.

Dr. Barton’s research trajectory will center on an emergent tool designed for ophthalmological and optometrically diagnostics. This tool, while still in the developmental phase, will provide an efficient mechanism for physicians to obtain diagnostic images of the inner eye from geographically remote or atypical locations.
Dr. Barton, who has been visually impaired since birth, commented on his appointment, “It is an honor to collaborate with the Envision Research Institute.
