MELVILLE, NY – Performance sunglass maker Eyeking has announced the addition of Scott Betty as senior vice president of product and design. Betty brings more than 20 years of product and design experience to this new position at the company.

Betty’s background includes positions across the eyewear and sporting goods categories, with his most recent role at Oakley as global director of optics. He was instrumental in helping build a multi-category team responsible for strategic product development and design for sunglasses, Rx and goggles.

Betty also led Oakley’s apparel, footwear and accessories business unit during his tenure. His resume includes footwear category leadership positions at Converse and Adidas, as well as a biomechanics specialist role at the U.S Olympic Training Center.
