“The connectivity and networks that these three individuals bring are extensive and priceless. Their passion for eye health and wanting to make a difference in this cause are a strong part of their foundation as human beings,” said Alykhan Bandali, Give Sight Global president and CEO.

Give Sight Global aims to empower the communities it assists to become self-reliant, instead of dependent on a series for NGOs through Social Amplification. The South Asia team will monitor and evaluate projects on the ground and build relationships with trusted partners to strengthen the efforts of enduring access to eyecare with the organization’s partner hospital for the inaugural project, the Siliguri Greater Lions Hospital in West Bengal.

The team will also assist with fundraising efforts and awareness of GSG’s model to local companies in India that are looking for the right corporate social responsibility programs to invest in. GSG believes they have a model that will attract greater attention within India because of the community focus and economically sustainable approach.

Ultimately, the South Asia team will use its ambition and passion to expand GSG’s model to neighbouring countries as well as globally. GSG believes that this model is the key to self-sustaining projects for vulnerable populations around the world, starting with eye health. Restoration of sight gives people their dignity back and their ability to become productive economically as well as socially.
