Here’s How Walmart Plans to Fix Itself – and Reimagine Retail

 

Among several initiatives, the retailer is developing a drone to replace human workers.

Walmart has some catching up to do when it comes to e-commerce, and to that end the retailer is debuting several digital-focused initiatives aimed at reimagining retail, Business Insider writes. The article says that Walmart has partnered with online transportation companies Uber and Lyft to develop a program through which customers can order groceries online and have them delivered to their homes. The retailer will also make Walmart Pay available in every store by June, and it’s currently developing a drone intended to replace the jobs of inventory quality-assurance workers at distribution centers.
