High Point University Considers Adding Optometry School

High Point University in North Carolina is exploring the possibility of adding an optometry school.

The university is also considering adding law and nursing programs, the Triad Business Journal reports.

High Point University President Nido Qubein has assembled teams of education experts to look into the possibilities.

This month, the university announced that it will open a dental school, the Business Journal notes.

“Our innovative and forward-thinking ideas to add new programs to respond to our ever-changing world is what we have been commissioned to do in higher learning,” Qubein said.

The private liberal arts university is located in High Point and has 5,200 students.
