Insurer to Offer Vision Plans in 40 States

The company serves 90K employers.

Colonial Life announced that it is launching vision and dental coverage.

“Dental and vision benefits help maintain and promote overall health, and are fundamental parts of any competitive employee benefits package,” said Colonial Life President and CEO Tim Arnold. “This new offering is just one example of how our employees deliver on our commitments to protect America’s workers and their families.”

The plans became available in 40 states on March 26. They use the expertise of Colonial Life’s sister firm Starmount Life Insurance Co., a national dental and vision carrier.

“Starmount’s proficiency in the dental and vision arena allow Colonial Life to enter a new market with competitive products employees want and need,” according to a press release.

Colonial Life & Accident Insurance Co. serves more than 90,000 businesses and organizations, along with 3.8 million workers and their families.
