Leisure Society by Shane Baum Introduces 2016 Summer Collection

(Press Release)
California-based Leisure Society by Shane Baum has announced the addition of four new styles to the En Plein Soleil collection. The four gold-plated titanium frames are inspired by Baum’s personal experience of the French Riviera as well as the Mediterranean ambiance of the coastal cities like Old Town Nice.

The En Plein Soleil 2016 summer collection highlights two new key frames: the limited-edition sun style called Nice and the Rudi frame which comes in sun and optical.

The Nice sunglass, named after the artistic Old Town, is a feminine oversized cat-eye shape in gold-plated titanium with hand-enameled colors. The all-metal frame has a strong corner curve with gold-plated titanium temples and a delicate filigree bridge. It’s available in the following colors: 12k silver in grey purple, 18k gold in yellow-blue/burgundy and 24k gold in sea foam. Only 50 pieces of the Nice sunglass will be produced, and each is individually numbered.

Rudi was so named for Rudolf Rudi Gernreich, who created the artistic and fashionable monokini during the 1960s. The gold-plated titanium metal frame has an angular, rectangle shape and comes in 12k silver in black, 18k gold in gold/brown, 18k rose gold in burgundy and 24k gold in sea foam.

The Èze and St. Jean frames complete the collection in true Leisure Society form in 12k silver, 18k gold/rose gold and 24k yellow gold. The new styles will be available in May at select retail stores and specialty eyewear boutiques like: Visionary Optics (New York), Glasses Ltd. (Chicago), A’maree’s (Newport Beach), Hoff Optometry (Los Angeles), Eye Society (Orange County), Barton Perreira (Aspen/Nashville), JLC Opticien (Paris), Leidmann (Munich), Poul Stig (Copenhagen) and Mykita (Vienna).
