More than 240 Exhibitors Commit to Vision Expo East 2022

(PRESS RELEASE) ALEXANDRIA, VA — The organizers of Vision Expo, The Vision Council and RX, today share that more than 240 exhibitors have committed to Vision Expo East to-date. Vision Expo East 2022 will take place from March 31–April 3 at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City.

“We are looking forward to hosting a dynamic Show. With more than 240 exhibitors already committed and more than 75 additional exhibitors expected to join, representing a diverse range of companies across the vision care landscape, the momentum is strong and reflects industry-wide excitement to be back in-person in New York City for the first time since 2019,” said Mitch Barkley, Vice President of Trade Shows and Events at The Vision Council. “We are committed to bringing the community together safely, delivering important continuing education, and providing an atmosphere that is conducive to relationship-building, networking and conducting business. In keeping with this spirit of celebration and collaboration, we are pleased to extend the free registration deadline to January 27.”

Vision Expo East will feature several Show Floor neighborhoods, including The Atelier, a new and nearly sold-out neighborhood driven by design-led ateliers dedicated to artisanal eyewear and featuring a limited group of sought-after independent designers from around the globe. Participating designers are required to go through an application process for admission. The application form and instructions can be accessed here.

The Atelier is designed to serve as an intimate and sophisticated setting for buying and networking. The neighborhood will offer special amenities and curated experiences, from a dedicated welcome concierge and live music to an exclusive lounge area, beverages and canapé food service.

Some of the exhibitors committed to The Atelier to-date include: Emmanuelle Khanh, LINDA FARROW, T HENRI, Tom Davies, l.a. Eyeworks and Thierry Lasry.

“I am super excited to be a part of this special community,” said Thierry Lasry. “I think The Atelier is going to be one of the most exciting places to be at Vision Expo East. The discerning edit of designers and brands, combined with experiential amenities and a comfortable lounge, will create a luxury, boutique-style shopping experience. We are confident it will be one of the best areas to do business and catch up with friends and clients.”

“As we gear up for Vision Expo East’s highly anticipated return to New York City this spring, we are working hard to enhance every facet of the Show experience,” said Fran Pennella, Event Vice President, Vision Expo, at RX. “The addition of The Atelier to our neighborhoods reflects our efforts to constantly build upon the Show Floor experience and thoughtfully design the Show Floor in a way that best showcases products and brands, while complementing the robust schedule of education and special events.”

In addition to The Atelier, other Show Floor neighborhoods include:

  • The Focus – Representing the foundation of eyecare and offering the key to masterfully servicing patients and customers, The Focus brings together lens and coating technology, lens processing techniques, disease management solutions, contact lens innovations and eyecare practice optimization.
  • The Park – Industry icons, ubiquitous brands and prestigious collections unveil their latest styles and offerings in inspired large-scale displays that celebrate the worlds of superior style and exemplary service.
  • The Union – The ultimate shopping experience for those seeking the newest in independent design, this energetic showcase offers new collection launches, pop-culture inspired collaborations and “talk-of-the-show” trends.
  • The Springs – A bold platform for the next generation of optical icons, The Springs is a true discovery zone and incubator for emerging talent in eyewear design and vision innovation.

In addition to the Show Floor neighborhoods, The Bridge will serve as the Show’s main stage destination and will host a rich schedule of special events, panels and presentations. More information on events taking place in The Bridge will be shared in the coming weeks.
