(PRESS RELEASE) CINCINNATI, OH – Starting Oct. 8, OneSight will team up with partners Fresh Air Fund and Bronx Documentary Center and sponsors Fidelity Security Life Insurance Co., LCA Vision, Anthem National Accounts, Wachter and Chubb to host a Vision Clinic in New York City. The three-day charitable clinic will provide eye exams and glasses to hundreds of underserved, uninsured kids and adults to see better, leveraging OneSight’s proven clinic model, mobile manufacturing capabilities, and newly-developed COVID-19 operational protocol. A core team of OneSight personnel and volunteers will be joined by multiple optometrists and opticians to staff the daily operations of the clinic.
“We’re proud to partner with Fresh Air Fund and Bronx Documentary Center to support the South Bronx community, who has experienced a significant economic impact from the pandemic,” said Dawn Yager, OneSight program manager.
Also in October, OneSight will host a charitable vision clinic in Johannesburg, South Africa to serve over 100 local orphans and senior citizens, and community vision screening events in Cincinnati, OH helping hundreds of local students. These charitable programs bolster OneSight’s continued operation of the majority of its sustainable vision centers around the globe, which ensure safe, affordable vision care access for more than 35 million people.
In the months ahead, communities around the world will work to overcome the health and economic impact of the pandemic, and the need for vision care will be greater than ever.
