Optical Employee Admits to Stealing $225K of Contact Lenses

She could face 3 years behind bars.

A woman in New York state pleaded guilty to charges she stole $225,000 in contact lenses from her employer at the time, DiNapoli Opticians.

Kathleen Litchfield of Cohoes, NY, is set to be sentenced in April and could spend as long as three years behind bars, the Times Union reports.

She was accused of taking the lenses from the Colonie-based business over a three-year period and selling them.

The 42-year-old woman admitted to “felony attempted second-degree grand larceny, felony fourth-degree tax fraud,” according to the newspaper.
