Pearle Vision Ranked Top Eye Care and Eyewear Franchise in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — Pearle Vision announced that it was the No. 1 Eye Care and Eyewear brand and No. 38 overall franchise in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 for its outstanding performance in areas including unit growth, financial strength and stability, and brand power. It marks the 14th consecutive year that Pearle Vision has been ranked in Entrepreneur’s Franchise 500 and fourth consecutive year leading the Eye Care and Eyewear category.

“We’re incredibly proud that Pearle Vision continues to earn recognition as a top healthcare service and eyecare franchise by Entrepreneur,” said Gunjan Kumar, president of Retail licensed brands and Pearle Vision NA. “Pearle Vision is deeply rooted in the notion of caring about the people behind the eyes. Our team of eye care experts take this to heart with every patient that trusts us with their eye care and eye wear needs.”

With a five-decade-plus commitment to providing genuine eye care, Pearle Vision is a premium brand that has the tools, systems and processes in place that are designed to help build patient loyalty. Operating under the EssilorLuxottica umbrella provides access to a broad range of quality lenses and designer frames.

“We look to augment the business potential for dedicated professionals by providing them with turnkey systems, turnkey support, turnkey operations and marketing overlays that allow them to focus on one thing: providing genuine eye care,” said Michael Weaver, Pearle Vision senior director of licensing and development.

Over its 44 years in existence, the Franchise 500 has become both a dominant competitive measure for franchisors and a primary research tool for potential franchisees. Pearle Vision’s position on the ranking is a testament to its strength as a franchise opportunity.

In Entrepreneur’s continuing effort to best understand and evaluate the ever-changing franchise marketplace, the company’s ranking formula continues to evolve as well. The editorial team researches and assesses several factors that go into the evaluation including costs and fees, size and growth, support, brand strength, and financial strength and stability. Each franchise is given a cumulative score based on an analysis of more than 150 data points, and the 500 franchises with the highest cumulative scores become the Franchise 500 in ranking order.
