Prevent Blindness to Host Eighth Annual Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament

(Press Release) The Eighth Annual Prevent Blindness Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament, held in conjunction with Vision Expo West, will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at the Spanish Trail Country Club, Las Vegas.

All proceeds from the event will go to support the sight-saving programs and services of Prevent Blindness, the nation’s oldest volunteer eye health non-profit organization. Representatives from across the vision industry are invited to participate.

The Transitions Healthy Sight for Life Fund will serve as the event’s gold sponsor. Additional sponsors to date include Marchon, VSP and Spectera.

Sponsorships are available including the silver sponsor, cart sponsor, award sponsor, breakfast or lunch sponsors, hole sponsors, golfer gift sponsors and more.

“The Swing Fore Sight Golf Tournament is one of our premier events of the year, bringing together leaders across the country to share in a fun day of golf while helping to give the gift of sight to adults and children,” said Hugh R. Parry, president and CEO of Prevent Blindness. “This kind of support gives us the means to continue programs that provide vision research funds, eye health and safety programs and advocacy initiatives.”

Foursomes are available for $2,750 and individual golf slots are $700 for the four-person scramble. Those interested can join leading vision industry representatives on the Swing Fore Sight golf committee including Chair Dave Pierson, J. David Optical Consultancy and Co-chair Michael Block, The Block Business Group.
