Primary Eyecare Network Offering Two Educational Webinars in December

Primary Eyecare Network, a division of ABB OPTICAL GROUP, is pleased to offer eye care practitioners two educational events this December.

“Our December calendar offers ECPs and office staff an opportunity to review best practices for exam documentation and coding,” said PEN Marketing and Education Manager Mary Eastwood, OD, FAAO. “We are also pleased to feature Scott Daniels, a business broker with optometric firm Practice Concepts, who will discuss all of the considerations of buying or selling an eye care practice.”

PEN’s December schedule includes:

December 2 – E/M Coding and Documentation
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. PST
Free for PEN members; $15 for non-members

Offered in partnership with CS Eye, an independent consulting company focused on compliance in the optometry industry, this webinar will review how to evaluate and manage office visit exam documentation and coding guidelines. The webinar will be presented by Ann Bina, MBA, CPC, CPC-H, CPC-I, CHC, who has more than 20 years of experience in the field.

December 9 – Buying, Partnering or Selling a Practice
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. PST
Free for PEN members; $15 per practice for non-members

If you are considering buying, partnering in, or selling an eye care practice, join
Scott Daniels, executive senior broker at optometric brokerage firm Practice Concepts, for an educational webinar that covers all parties’ perspectives throughout the process. Buyers will discover how to get the best price and structure, while sellers will learn how to maximize value and make transactions smoother for buyers. Attendees also will find out what an appraisal really means, and will receive a checklist of necessary activities to ensure a proper sale.
