Reichert Went to the Super Bowl with Philadelphia Eagles Eye Mobile

It made several stops on the way.

(Press Release) BUFFALO, NY – The Eagles Eye Mobile and Glasses Lab, signature programs of the Philadelphia Eagles Charitable Foundation, took to the road with Super Bowl LII as their destination. They took with them eyecare diagnostic devices from Reichert Technologies, Buffalo, NY, and provided free eye exams to children at schools attended by Philadelphia Eagle football players along the way.

The AMETEK Foundation, the charitable arm of Reichert’s corporate parent, AMETEK Inc., was a sponsor. It has partnered with the Eagles Charitable Foundation for nearly 20 years on a variety of charitable projects, most recently the Eye Mobile and Glasses Lab, which has reached more than 80,000 children and distributed more than 55,000 pairs of glasses.

The week-long road trip kicked off with a pep rally attended by Eagles cheerleaders and the Eagles Pep Band at AMETEK’s corporate headquarters in Berwyn, PA, on Jan. 26. The tour includes stops in La Grange, IL; Racine, WI; Milwaukee, WI; and Bismark, ND, before reaching Minneapolis, MN.

“At the Eagles, we believe strongly that every child should have access to comprehensive eye care. If you can’t see, you can’t read. If you can’t read, you can’t learn,” said Christina Weiss Lurie, president of the Eagles Charitable Foundation. “We are pleased to partner with the AMETEK Foundation and to be able to extend our services across the country on the road to Minnesota in honor of our wonderful players.”

Founded in 1995 with the help of partners like AMETEK, the Eagles Charitable Foundation has reached more than 1 million children in the Philadelphia region through health and educational programs. The Eagles Eye Mobile and Glasses Lab equipped with Reichert instruments makes daily visits to Philadelphia schools and travels to more than 120 schools annually.
