CROYDON, UNITED KINGDOM – Cycling Active Magazine, a subsidiary publication of the 125-year-old Cycling Weekly, has named the Rudy Project Tralyx as the “Best on Test” when compared to 10 other high-end performance sunglass brands. The lineup of glasses, which included the Oakley Radar EV Path Polarized and the Bollé 6th Sense, were tested over all types of weather conditions and compared by key features such as lenses and fit.

Cycling Active tested the 10 pairs of glasses in the sun, then during increasingly wet and windy autumn and winter rides. The sunglasses were also paired with a number of road and mountain helmets to get a feel for how each felt with different lid set-ups, and were even taken off road to see how they each handled the mud. Each pair was ranked on a scale of 10, with the Rudy Project Tralyx being the only sunglass to obtain a perfect score.

Darlow added: “We opted for a nearly clear lens, which proved great in low light and under trees but also took the edge off road shine when the sun emerged, thanks to its photochromic lens that adjusts to varying light conditions. If you can stump up the price the Tralyx is our first choice.”
Like all Rudy Project frames, the Tralyx is covered by a replacement lens guarantee, which covers all lens damage from use or activity, and a three-year frame warranty. It also comes equipped with a soft pouch and hard case for added protection.
