The award honors professional and community service.

Dr. Joe Sisley of Rockport, IN, has been named the 2017 Young Optometrist of the Year for Indiana.

He is a member of the Indiana Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association and is past president of the Southwest Indiana Optometric Association. Sisley serves as a liaison for the Indiana Optometric Association to the Indiana University School of Optometry, and served on the School Screening Task Force.
