TUMI and De Rigo Announce Partnership

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK — TUMI, the leading international travel and lifestyle brand, and The De Rigo Group, one of the world’s leading eyewear specialists, announce an exclusive license agreement for the design, production and distribution of TUMI-branded sunglasses and prescription frames for both men and women.

Inspired by global citizens around the world, the TUMI eyewear collection will embody the iconic values and DNA of the brand with designs that encompass TUMI’s dedication to innovation. The collection is set to debut at Vision Expo East in 2021, prior to its global launch in May 2021.

The first TUMI eyewear collection produced by De Rigo will be available to purchase from spring/summer 2021 and will be distributed through the De Rigo sales network, as well as select TUMI stores and eCommerce sites globally. The agreement, which applies to both North and Central America and Asia, includes the possibility to widen distribution to other global markets by way of the De Rigo commercial network.

“At TUMI, everything we do is with our customers’ ever-evolving needs and their journeys in mind,” said Victor Sanz, TUMI creative director. “It is a very exciting step to bring the new TUMI eyewear collection to life. We believe that introducing TUMI eyewear will synchronize beautifully with our existing assortment and offer our customers a truly authentic new addition to their travel kit.”

“We are proud to be working alongside the TUMI team as we embark on this important partnership together and welcome this iconic license into our brand portfolio,” said Michele Aracri, managing director at De Rigo Vision. “As a leading name in the travel and accessories industry for 45 years, TUMI has led the way in design excellence and technical innovation. We are pleased to be able to contribute — with our expertise — to the development of the brand in the eyewear sector.”
