Under Armour Eyewear Sponsors Top Youth Baseball Event

(Press Release)
MELVILLE, NY – Under Armour Eyewear has announced it will be returning to the Cal Ripken World Series this year from July 29 until Aug. 6 in Aberdeen, MD. As the official eyewear sponsor of Ripken Baseball, UA Eyewear will be providing free eyewear to the top teams and will retail their newest styles to attendees at the games at a special ballpark discount.

The Cal Ripken World Series (CRWS) is home to some of the most advanced 12-year-old baseball players in the world. This year the final four teams in play will receive Under Armour Eyewear for the entire roster along with Under Armour team uniforms. UA Eyewear’s impact-protection frames feature lenses that block 100 percent of the sun’s harmful UVA/B/C rays.

“Ripken Baseball is the right organization for Under Armour Eyewear to focus on the importance of young athletes protecting their eyes from dangerous UVA/B/C rays. Our innovative performance frames offer them the safety and eye protection they need to be healthier players,” says Scott Betty, senior VP of product and marketing for Under Armour Eyewear. “As a company, we are committed to providing the highest quality performance eyewear product for these future athletes.”

The competition includes 10 champion teams from across the United States and eight international teams representing Australia, Canada, Republic of Korea, the Dominican Republic, Japan, Mexico, Puerto Rico and New Zealand. The final game will be available for viewing on Saturday, Aug. 6 via MLB.com. Under Armour Eyewear will be retailing their performance frames at the ballpark with a 20 percent discount for fans.
