UnitedHealthcare Vision and Dental Plans Get High Marks

(Press Release) UnitedHealthcare Vision and Dental plans each rank highest in customer satisfaction among the nation’s vision and dental carriers, according to the J.D. Power 2015 Vision Plan And Dental Plan Satisfaction Report.

The report is based on responses from nearly 2,000 vision and more than 2,400 dental plan participants nationwide, measuring customer satisfaction based on coverage, cost, communication, customer service and reimbursement.

UnitedHealthcare’s cumulative score of 729 for vision was the highest of the plans analyzed, with the honor marking the third straight year UnitedHealthcare has received the top score. UnitedHealthcare’s cumulative score of 754 for dental was the highest among dental plans, earning UnitedHealthcare the top score for the second straight year. More information about the vision report is available here and the dental report here.

Consumers have benefited from UnitedHealthcare’s investments in mobile technology, including the ability for plan participants to obtain an identification card and look up nearby network health care providers on both iPhone and Android devices.

“Every employer and community we serve has unique health care needs, so that requires a commitment from our entire organization to deliver superior service. UnitedHealthcare’s local-market focus and national resources enable us to meet the oral and visual health needs and enhance the well-being of the more than 20 million people enrolled in our vision and dental plans,” said Philip Kaufman, president, UnitedHealthcare Specialty Benefits.

UnitedHealthcare continues to develop innovative new programs to help people live healthier lives. One example is UnitedHealthcare’s Bridge2Health® program, which supports patients and health care professionals with information, decisions and outcomes for consumers with dental, vision and disability plans that are integrated with medical benefits.

“Our primary focus continues to be delivery of great products at a fair price, with the support of strong customer service. We are grateful for this recognition from the people we serve,” Kaufman said.
