Video: Gandhi’s Eyeglasses Could Fetch $19K+ at Auction

A pair of round frame eyeglasses that belonged to Mahatma Gandhi will go up for auction in the U.K.

It’s predicted that they will sell for $19,600 or more — possible much more, the South China Morning Post reports.

East Bristol Auctions received the glasses via its letterbox from “a seller who wanted to know if they were worth anything,” according to the report.

The Indian independence leader is said to have given the eyeglasses to the seller’s uncle in South Africa in the 1920s.
