Vision Council’s Optical Lab Division Announces New Member Benefits

(Press Release) The Vision Council has announced an expanded suite of member benefits for its Optical Lab Division with the introduction of the Optical Lab Division Toolkit, bringing a variety of programs and services tailored specifically for optical laboratories.

The Toolkit includes multiple new program offerings as well as a refresh on many existing benefits, available in one centralized location for optimal benefit to member labs.

Highlights of these new program offerings include complimentary consulting services and employee training sessions, all developed for the needs and situations specific to optical labs.

“One of my personal goals for the Optical Lab Division is to make sure that we, as the trade organization, are really listening to the needs of the division members, and revamping our programs to fill those needs,” said Steve Sutherlin, The Vision Council’s Optical Lab Division Liaison. “And once we have these programs in place, we need to make sure that the members are aware of, and can easily access, all the services that can benefit their organization.”

Members of The Vision Council’s Optical Lab Division now have exclusive access to marketing and communications consulting services through consultant Dan Bailey.

Lab Division members receive up to four complimentary hours of consultation per year in a variety of areas such as marketing strategy, website assistance, logo creation and social media planning, with additional products and services available at a discounted rate.

In addition, members of the division have on-demand access to customer service training sessions, presented by Mike Karlsrud, available for any lab employee – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. These quarterly audio files will teach customer service skills and tips for professionals at any level of experience.

A new Workplace Safety Compliance Checklist is also now available, designed to assist all lab division members with the steps necessary to ensure a safe workplace.

These new benefits have been added to the growing list of programs The Vision Council provides to its members including optical market research data, government and regulatory affairs information, optical industry standards updates, consumer outreach programs, and a variety of consulting services.

The full list of programs and services can be found on The Vision Council’s website, https://www.thevisioncouncil
