VSP Vision Named a Top Company for Executive Women by Seramount

(PRESS RELEASE) RANCHO CORDOVA, CA – VSP Vision is proud to announce it has been named a 2023 Top Company for Executive Women by Seramount, an international leader in championing diversity, equity and inclusion in the workplace. The honor recognizes U.S. companies that support women’s growth and advancement toward management and senior-level positions. This is the second recognition VSP has received from Seramount this year as the company was named a Top Company for Multicultural Women in June.

“Because one of our core values at VSP Vision is to empower diversity, this achievement is such an honor,” said VSP Vision chief human resources officer Kristi Cappelletti-Matthews. “Emboldening women to lean into their strengths and pursue their career goals in a welcoming community is a huge part of our corporate culture and how we help people see every possibility.”

Specifically, VSP Vision earned inclusion on the list because of:

  • A wide offering of training opportunities for women who seek to grow beyond their current managerial position.
  • Internal accountability as it relates to advancing women leaders within the company.
  • The number of women in leadership VSP has throughout all leadership roles within the organization.
  • The number of women who are both hired and promoted within VSP.
  • President and CEO Mike Guyette’s commitment to diversity and advancing women in the workplace.

The results from the Top Company for Executive Women list were curated from survey replies provided by applicants. The assessment evaluated a company’s succession planning, profit-and-loss roles, gender pay parity, support programs, and flexibility programs. To participate, organizations were required to have two or more women on their boards of directors and a minimum of 500 U.S. employees.
