ZEISS Vision Care Customer Eyecare Leaders Opens First Privately-Owned ZEISS Vision Experience in the US

(PRESS RELEASE) HEBRON/KY/UNITED STATES — ZEISS Vision Care celebrated the opening of the first optometry practice in the US to feature a ZEISS Vision Experience, combining a thoroughly modern and immersive patient experience with ZEISS’ 175+ years of optical expertise. ZEISS joined the team at Pearland, Texas, Eyecare Leaders and the local Pearland Chamber of Commerce for today’s ribbon cutting ceremony. The new Eyecare Leaders store is owned and operated by Dr. Joseph and Mary Nguyen and is their third optometry practice in the greater Houston metropolitan area.

Though Eyecare Leaders boasts the first ZEISS Vision Experience in the US, the concept has already proven to be very successful in other countries. In total, there are 250 independently-owned ZEISS Vision Experience stores globally.

The Eyecare Leaders store features the latest innovation in conducting eye exams and shopping for eyeglasses. The cutting-edge practice offers patient-focused services from precise vision measurements and lens consultation, all the way through frame selection.

In 2021, ZEISS unveiled the company’s new US headquarters in Hebron, Kentucky. The headquarters facility includes a full build out of the unique ZEISS design concepts. The showroom and core themes, provide independent eyecare providers with inspiration on how to design and implement a ZEISS Vision Experience in their own practices.

“With the rapid uptick in online shopping over the past decade, today’s consumers expect immersive shopping experiences when they visit a brick-and-mortar location,” said Andrew Hyncik, vice president of marketing for ZEISS Vision Care. “Shopping for new eyeglasses is no different. In a ZEISS Vision Experience store, all steps of the vision shopping experience are elevated to the same level of importance, from the initial eye exam to the lens recommendation and ultimately the frame selection.”

“After unveiling the ZEISS Vision Experience concept in Kentucky last year, it’s truly inspiring to see the design elements come to life in a real optometry practice,” said Jens Boy, president of ZEISS Vision Care North America. “We’re proud to partner with Eyecare Leaders and look forward to offering Pearland residents our most innovative technology and products.”

The ribbon cutting kicked off a two-day celebration of the grand opening of the new Eyecare Leaders optometry practice. Owned and operated by Dr. Joseph and Mary Nguyen, Eyecare Leaders is a premier, family-friendly practice dedicated to providing patients ages four and older with the highest level of comprehensive eyecare.

“After many years of experience as an optometrist, I’ve learned that the quality and precision that ZEISS offers my patients is unmatched,” said Dr. Joseph Nguyen. “Promoting eye health is at the core of our practice, and we’re thrilled to partner with ZEISS to bring the ZEISS Vision Experience to the Pearland community.”
