Dr. Antwan Randolph and his wife Chelsea opened Eye Love Spearfish in the small, picturesque South Dakota mountain town for which it is named in 2021.

The area’s diverse community presented the perfect opportunity to make the most of Dr. Randolph’s pediatric and vision therapy training, as well as Chelsea’s frame styling skills.

The Randolphs haven’t looked back, growing a successful practice and a bustling family of five young kids (and three dogs).

The space manages to be not only warm and welcomingly rustic, but also modern, chic and fun, dominated by natural lighting and clean lines.

Even the beautiful bathroom was designed to feel special. “Honestly my favorite space in the building,” says Chelsea.

Dr. Randolph’s interest in pediatric optometry was kindled during his final-year rotations in optometry school.

Frame styling is Chelsea’s passion. “I love showing people something slightly new and different for themselves and watching their faces light up with a new confidence.”

Local artist Kathy Sigle’s work graces the practice’s pink brick wall.

“Dr. Randolph just truly listens and takes the time to understand and help his patients,” says Chelsea.

The frames in Eye Love Spearfish’s highly curated selection are mostly exclusive to the practice in Spearfish, though they also carry some well-known and loved brands that people recognize.

Dr. Randolph has extensive knowledge in pediatric care, vision therapy and some sports vision.

The practice is housed in a gorgeous 780-square-foot standalone building designed to mimic the small white barn that stood on the site—originally a family ranch—for many years.
