ABB Verify Announces Product Enhancement to Expand Insurance Verification System

(PRESS RELEASE) CORAL SPRINGS, FL — ABB Verify, the vision care benefits optimization platform from ABB Optical Group, announced a product enhancement feature that allows eye care practices that utilize ABB Verify to retrieve medical plan information in addition to the current vision insurance search offering, providing eye care professionals (ECPs) with a centralized location to review both vision and medical eligibility and benefits information.

Part of the ABB Business Solutions suite of technology products and services for eye care practices, ABB Verify provides ECPs with a centralized source for gathering vision care eligibility and connecting with their patients to help them maximize benefits. ABB Verify benefits eye care practices by creating efficiencies, reducing patients’ confusion regarding their vision care benefits and helping ECPs drive incremental revenue to their practices.

ABB Verify has two available options for practices to choose from:

  • ABB Verify Complete integrates with leading practice management systems, automatically pulling in-network benefits for all scheduled appointments. ABB Verify Complete then sends patients emails and/or texts reminding them of any unused benefits. The targeted, proactive reminders help drive more patients back into the practice for additional purchases, helping the practice increase incremental revenue. This product can be offered with or without ABB Verify On-Demand, the other available software option.
  • ABB Verify On-Demand is a streamlined benefits search engine that confirms patient insurance within 30 seconds and does not require an integration with practice management systems. Both versions of ABB Verify identify patients with second-frame benefits, creating the opportunity to potentially increase revenue by hundreds per day.

“The search for benefits eligibility and availability can be frustrating and time-consuming for both the eye care practice and patient. ABB Verify is the only platform that provides ECPs with fast, reliable in-network insurance information to help patients maximize their vision care benefits, simplifying the process for practice staff and in turn leading to increased patient satisfaction and retention,” said Peter Dolina, Vice President of ABB Verify. “By introducing this unique product enhancement, the ABB Verify suite now is now a ‘one-stop shop’ for ECPs, giving a practice the capability to provide not only vision insurance eligibility information, but now medical insurance eligibility information across hundreds of payors, ultimately improving accuracy, efficiency and flexibility for any practice.”

Implementing the medical insurance search capability is available with both versions of ABB Verify. Adding the medical insurance component is simple, and a practice can select to add up to 10 medical insurance payors to the search along with the existing vision care benefits search the software provides.
