All Progress is Good, Whether It’s Big Leaps or Baby Steps

SPRING IS ALL about rebirth, new beginnings, fresh starts … yadda, yadda, yadda. That seems like a lot of pressure to put yourself under just because the weather is finally getting nice. I’m not all about that stress when the sun is shining. What am I all about? Doing things that make you feel good. Luckily, just in time for Spring, we give you our “Feel Good” issue!

I think continual forward progress is important but, if you are anything like me, major overhauls are just overwhelming. I much prefer small, easily completed tasks that incrementally show improvement and leave you with a sense of accomplishment. What feels better than that?

Luckily, that’s what we do every month in INVISION, give you actionable tips, tidbits and tweaks you can implement immediately to better your business. This month’s issue is full of stuff that educates, informs and entertains all with an emphasis on feeling good about your business and its place in the community and the world at large. Our Big Story for this issue focuses on ways to charitably get involved at the local level, the product feature is devoted to socially-conscious and sustainable eyewear brands, and this issue’s Benchmarks profiles several independent optical businesses that have found success using social good marketing.

And though weed has been known to … erm … make people feel good, our special feature on medical marijuana digs deep into its place in the treatment of glaucoma. It’s a story that I’ve wanted to do for a long time and I feel good finally getting to do it.

Speaking of weed, be sure to check out the True Tales on the last page, it’s sure to leave you chuckling as you wrap up this month’s issue.

Of course, for more from INVISION be sure to follow us on Instagram (@invision.mag) and on our newly launched Pinterest (pinterest.com/invisionmag). Our Pinterest boards are full of window, display, and merchandising inspiration to keep your creative juices flowing.

Best wishes for your business,
