Austrian eyeglass manufacturer Andy Wolf Eyewear is expanding its headquarters in Hartberg.
The addition will have an area of about 1,000 square meters “and will offer a sound basis for future growth,” according to a press release. Officials recently held a groundbreaking at the headquarters site in Hartberg’s die Ökopark.
The expansion will provide “new office spaces and a new production facility for short-run series, vitrification of sunglasses and a new showroom,” according to the release.
“For us the addition means a big step into the future and we are thrilled that this day has come when we can celebrate together with wonderful guests and our employees,” said Andreas Pirkheim, CEO of the company.
Katharina Schlager, executive and designer, added: “It was high time for an expansion, because we were bursting at the seams. If all of the construction is completed as planned, we will be able to move into the new rooms in May of 2018. Additionally, it was very important to us that we build ecologically and work with firms from the region.”
The addition, Schlager said, “enables us to arrange product development, distribution, and administration more efficiently.”
