Corrine Hood, Optical Lab Owner, Dies at 74

Corrine S. Hood, who was active in the optical laboratory industry, has died.

She was 74.

Hood, who was born in Benton, IL, became business partners with Mike Francesconi of Katz & Klein Optical Lab and worked in this capacity for many years, according to her obituary.

She was the first female president of the California Optical Laboratories Association and the Optical Laboratories Association.

“She was very passionate about Soroptimist of Greater Sacramento where she volunteered her time to help educate women and make there lives more fulfilling,” according to the obituary.

Hood passed away Nov. 1 in Redding, CA.
