The Italian Trade Agency hosted a pair of eyewear shows this fall in the U.S. featuring independent Italian eyewear.

The “Extraordinary Italian Eyewear” events took place in Seattle and Chicago this past October.

The events featured an array of dazzling eyewear collections from 14 Italian vendors.

Participating brands included: Coco Song, Ellegi, IOVES, Jo & Margot, L.G.R., Logoproject Design, Mad In Italy, MIO Group, Movitra, Pier Martino Luxury Eyewear, Private Project, Thema A Family Factory, Ultra Limited and Vanni.

“The Extraordinary Italian Eyewear Event was not just a showcase of products but a celebration of the people and stories behind the craftsmanship,” says Alessio Nanni, head of the fashion team at ITA New York, in a press release.

“The venue was good and there was a good variety of Italian frames,” says Dunphy. “(When the) first CE for the day started, the space was fuller than I expected. There were some prominent (eyewear) people there.”

In addition to the eyewear exhibits, the Extraordinary Italian Eyewear Event played host to insightful CE lectures delivered by master optician Phernell Walker.
