Essilor Vision Foundation Partners with Legislator Lafazan, OPTYX New York Eye-Care Berkshire Hathaway Laffey International

(PRESS RELEASE) WOODBURY, NY — Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan (Woodbury) is partnering with OPTYX New York Eye Care, Berkshire Hathaway Laffey International, and Essilor Vision Foundation to provide complimentary eye exams, frames and lenses, for those in need during “Gift of Sight Day.”

“Providing young people with access to affordable, preventative eye care sets the foundation for a lifetime of practices that promote good eye health and prevent vision impairments,” Legislator Lafazan said. “I am honored to partner with these local stakeholders on this effort to ensure financial hardship is never an obstacle to receiving routine care.”

One in four children in the United States has a vision problem that affects their ability to learn, and many don’t have access to the vision care they need. In an effort to help bridge the gap, OPTYX New York Eye-Care, Nassau County Legislator Joshua Lafazan and Berkshire Hathaway Laffey International, are partnering with Essilor Vision Foundation to participate in the Changing Life through Lenses program.
