Family and Rock and Roll Keep This OD/CEO Sane

Mick Kling is many things: founder and CEO of Invision Optometry; consultant for Impact Leadership; founding member of Refractive Management Services Corp.; ex-clinical director for TLC Laser Eye Center; member of the American and California Optometric Associations; ex-president of the San Diego County Optometric Society; Adjunct Faculty member of Southern College of Optometry. Needless to say, he’s had to get unwinding down to a science: “1. Hug my kids (Robert and Ryan). 2. Glass of wine with my wife. 3. Headphones on and guitar in hand.” That last one also happens to benefit his bandmates in Backstage Pass, a rock band that can frequently be seen playing in the San Diego area.
