Hey, We Could Really Use You in INVISION’s Brain Squad!

Fresh ideas require fresh voices.

You may have heard of INVISION’s Brain Squad. (Hello, I plug them every opportunity I get!) The owners and optical managers  who are members are one of the main reasons we are able to share many of the amazing optical-specific business building tips that pepper our pages.

The members of the Brain Squad are an impassioned, clever and motivated group of senior professionals who are so generous with their time and wisdom that I am in a near constant state of awe and inspiration.

But we have a problem. I love my Brain Squad diehards but have you begun to notice it’s the same voices over and over sharing their knowledge? INVISION has a subscription base of more than 30,000 readers. That means that each month a huge number of you benefit from the time these dedicated folks voluntarily donate to make INVISION what it is …. Where is your voice?

Maybe you don’t think you have anything to contribute. It’s possible you feel you’re too new to running or managing a small business? Or your owner/doctor doesn’t put much credence in your ideas, so why would we? Perhaps you don’t think you have time for it?

Well, I am calling BS on you.
Our monthly survey takes less than 15 minutes and many Brain Squad members have told me that seeing their ideas in print has given them the confidence to fight harder for them. Some have taken that newfound confidence and parlayed it into better, more fulfilling positions. One or two have even pursued the dream of finally opening their own businesses.

That is the power of the community that the Brain Squad provides. And despite appearances, there is a lot of great information provided by the Squad members that never makes it into print … and only other members can see it.

I don’t want to see my regulars stop contributing; I want more of you owners and managers start. This is our Teamwork issue and successful teams rely on all their members to be strong. I’d like more of you running these businesses to start pulling your own weight.

Trust me, there are no bad ideas … there are only ideas you don’t share. Join here: invmag.us/brainsquad

Best wishes for your business,
