Holiday Gift Idea for Michelle Pfeiffer: Good Sports Eyewear

Michelle Pfeiffer is Hollywood royalty.

But if we’ve learned anything over the past few years, it is that status means nothing when one crosses the threshold and steps onto the great equalizing surface of a pickleball court. More than egos can get bruised.

Pfeiffer recently experienced that firsthand. The award-winning actress earlier this month posted to her Instagram account pictures of the painful-looking black eye she sustained while playing the popular sport.

Pfeiffer didn’t say explain how she got hurt. Though she did reference the “kitchen” area of the court where players aren’t allowed to volley.

“WARNING,” she wrote. “Pickeball-Stay out of the kitchen!! Thank you, Less!”

Pfeiffer posted numerous shots of her black and blue right eye. She later calmed concerns from fans, saying the injury was “nothing serious.”

But, clearly, Pfeiffer is tough and not one to let a swollen eye get in the way of good match.

That distinctive, and sometimes unrelenting, “pop…pop…pop…pop” sound of a pickleball game can drive surrounding neighborhood residents mad. But it acts like a siren call for those whose competitive juices flow strong. It is the fastest growing sport in the U.S. three years in a row for a reason!

Pfeiffer’s sister Dedee commended her sibling for her perseverance in an online comment: “But she kept on playing.”

Pfieffer responded with a simple: “That’s right.”

We, too, applaud the effort. However, we’d be happy to provide recommendations for active eyewear to protect those noble eyes!

Thankfully, Pfeiffer seems to be recovering just fine from the pickleball mishap. Just check out her post from a couple days ago:
