Huxley Optical has been a destination eyewear shop for Minnesotans in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area since it opened in 2016.

It only makes sense for the Minnesota proud optical to partner with Minnesota Wild rookie defenseman Brock Faber on a new custom line of Huxley Eyewear.

Brock Faber, left, was born and raised in Maple Grove, Minnesota.

He was an All-American defensemen in college for the University of Minnesota, leading the Gophers to last year’s national championship game.

Brock Faber originally was drafted in 2020 by the L.A. Kings.

But after a successful three-year stint in college, his rights were traded to the Wild this past summer.

Faber currently is competing in his first season in the NHL.

However, Brock isn’t the only athlete in the family.

His sister Paige Faber excels in various sports, including adapted floor hockey and representing the Minnesota Special Olympics hockey team.

The Faber siblings and Huxley Eyewear announced a custom line of eyewear.

A portion of each sale goes to the Hendrickson Foundation, a non-profit founded by longtime youth hockey coach Larry Hendrickson, whose mission is “to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities, and their families, through the game of hockey.”

From Huxley Eyewear:

“Huxley is proud to partner with the Faber family to create a custom line of eyewear true to our Minnesota roots.”

INVISION Magazine ran a business profile on Huxley Optical in 2021.

From the article:

“Ryan Polehonka and TJ Chanthasene opened Huxley Optical with a simple goal: to provide the Minneapolis-St. Paul area with “cool glasses at an affordable price.”

It now fulfills this mission from a pair of Twin Cities locations, largely on the strength of its private label, Huxley Eyewear, which accounts for 70 percent of its offerings.

Brock Faber took an active role in designing the new Brock Faber X Huxley line.

“I think Huxley is a brand that has the same traits as me, as a person, ” says Brock Faber in a promotion video. “Being from Minnesota, that’s special to me.”

Brock Faber’s official sunglasses are the Fabes in Minnesota Green.

Fabes retail for $79 and come in four frame color options.

The official sunglasses of Paige Faber are the Paige, which come in five frame color options.

The Paige also retail for $79.

From Huxley Eyewear:

“Brock’s path to the Minnesota Wild reflects his unwavering work ethic and dynamic gameplay, captivating fans along the way.

“Paige’s impressive achievements highlight the inclusivity of sports and the power of skill and spirit beyond traditional boundaries.”
