IDOC and Three Rivers Optical Combine

(PRESS RELEASE) NORWALK, CT — Two renowned industry leaders, IDOC, the largest independent optometric alliance, and Three Rivers Optical, a leading independent optical laboratory, have combined to bring an unmatched suite of practice enhancement and lab services to eyecare professionals. The two companies, with a 75+ year combined history of serving optometry, have a shared mission of continuing the growth and success of independent eyecare practices. Both IDOC and Three Rivers Optical will continue operating in the marketplace under their existing names.

The management teams of IDOC and Three Rivers Optical will continue as the leaders and owners in the combined company. Details of the merger are not disclosed.

Three Rivers Optical will continue to be led by Steve Seibert and Mary Ann Zappas, who represent the second-generation of Three Rivers Optical family ownership. Three Rivers Optical operates out of its state-of-the-art 30,000+ square foot facility with best-in-class equipment in Pittsburgh, PA. Three Rivers Optical prides itself on the highest level of customer service, quality, and innovative solutions.
