Pearle Vision Store in New York Suddenly Closes Without Warning or Explanation

A Pearle Vision store in Queens, NY provided no advance notice to customers before it abruptly closed its doors, instead leaving them to call a lawyer whose contact information currently hangs on the door, DNAinfo reports.

According to the article, a note on the front door reads: “If you want your contact lenses, glasses, prescriptions or records, call Mr. Pergament.” It also lists the lawyer’s address, phone number and email. Some customers were contacted by the law firm and were asked to come to the store so that their glasses, prescriptions and records could be returned to them. One customer who spoke with the news outlet said the owner told her the reason for the closure was lease-related.
