UK Industry Insiders Predict Creative Decade

Wearables, yes, but also big design changes coming up.

British optical website rounded up a group of designers and manufacturers and got them talking about the future of the industry. Wearable tech got a lot of buzz, of course, but most of the group predicted the biggest changes for design. “The next five to 10 years are going to be the most exciting in eyewear history,” said designer Marcello Martino. “The same old silhouettes, cut out of acetate or sheet metal with famous brand names placed on temples simply will not cut it anymore.”
