The Vision Expo West 2023 showroom floor was a happening spot on the Las Vegas strip entering the weekend.

Day 2 featured presentations, special events, and, as always, more frames in one space than any mere mortal could see in a single day!

The EssilorLuxottica booth hosted a special guest Friday afternoon at Vision Expo West 2023: WNBA star Diamond DeShields.

DeShields is a member of Team Oakley and is a staunch advocate for eye health.

Diamond DeShields talked about her experience overcoming eye health adversity and her partnership with Oakley. She also took time to sign autographs and take photos.

(Did you know DeShields played tennis before turning her attention to basketball?)

The Safilo booth was an oasis amidst the bustling showroom floor, accented by calming plants.

A question for you to ponder as you enjoy this picture of Illa Eyewear frames: How often do you think about the Roman Empire?

A) Often

B) Never

C) Does right now count?

D) Are they the numbers people?

Shamir brought its race car driving simulator to this year’s show.

Hopefully, you didn’t miss your chance to “test drive’ their new driver intelligence lenses. (They were tucked in the back of the EssilorLuxottica booth on the edge of the showroom floor.)

Professional race car driver Sébastien Bourdais, right, spent time in the Shamir booth Friday.

Bourdais drives for Cadillac Racing and is a spokesperson for Shamir.

Tampa artist Cam Parker stands outside the glass display that was his canvas at Vision Expo West 2023.

Parker was stationed in the front left corner of the EssilorLuxottica booth during the show, creating a unique work of art.

Artist Cam Parker spent much of his time inside this glass display booth, painting designs in vibrant colors on the panes of glass.

Cam Parker didn’t limit his artistic eye to the inside of the booth.

He brought his talents to bear outside the booth, adding elements to his work of art and interacting with attendees.

Seraphin Eyewear is celebrating its 25 anniversary this year.

It commemorated the milestone at Vision Expo West 2023 with a special edition whiskey.

Five lucky attendees went home with a bottle. Sadly, it was no one we know. (At least, as far as we know!)

Free freshly popped popcorn was a tasty consolation prize for any attendee who didn’t win any whiskey.

Just look at the joy on this woman’s face. Priceless!

The L’Amy America booth was just a few short steps away from our INVISION stall.

Can you spot our signature red display on the right?

Milner Technologies Inc was one of INVISION’s showroom floor neighbors.

Unfortunately, the booth attendant had his phone stolen Friday by a five-finger discount artist. The incident effectively shut down presentations at the booth

Thankfully, his phone carrier (T-Mobile) worked with him and turned the pilfered phone into a rather expensive, though fairly useless, paperweight.

Latinos En Optometry held a meet and greet at the Innovation Stage on Friday as the day on the showroom floor came to a close.

In our Day 1 photo gallery, we had pictures of people in spacesuits.

Makes sense we’d spot American Optical’s Pilot FG-58 sunglasses as worn by actual astronaut Neil Armstrong on display!

You could say, we were over the moon.

From space to sports, there’s sunglasses for every activity.

Wiley X has just the right eyewear gear for the anglers in your family.

Glasses for dinosaurs seems like a very niche market.

Makes you wonder what the folks at Global Optique are up to.

😉

MODA Eyewear had a front-and-center booth at Vision Expo West 2023, just to the right of the main showroom doors.

(Side note: That neon green color certainly is a trendy selection. We likey!)

The WestGroupe booth stood sentinel (much like this pictured posture-perfect associate) just to the left of the main showroom doors.

You can’t miss the Visionix booth at Vision Expo, what with its striking orange sign hanging from the rafters and its orange-clad salesforce quick to assist.

Though… somehow we managed to get a shot without capturing anyone wearing orange. Go figure.

(Note that striking green color once again!)

We ambled by the Match Eyewear booth a few times Friday. It was packed like this each time.

Was it a coincidence? We think not. You’re welcome Match!

The design of the Olivio & Co booth stood out to us. It was both simple and creative. Good color palate. Pleasing vibe.

Related opinion time: Booth displays, overall, seemed a bit… subdued. (Though, we admit, that may not be the perfect word.)

Thanks to SD Eyes for giving this gallery a strong send off.

Gotta love those Rip Curl frames on display on those little surfboard boards!
