Editor’s Note: Thank You For a Great First Year

Thank You
For a Great
First year

We’re eager to be
your business partner
in 2015 and beyond

With this issue, INVISION marks the end of its first full year — and it’s been a phenomenal one. Head-spinning, in many ways. And extremely gratifying. We started work last year with a very strong idea of what we wanted to offer American eyecare professionals. Our goal is to give you information that you can use, directly and on a daily basis, in your business.

That’s not as simple as it might sound. It means digesting the latest developments in this amazingly varied field, from managed care to fashion to Ortho-K. It means devouring the latest business books, scores of websites, and reaching out to dozens of (utterly invaluable) industry experts each month. We ask the same tough question about every single piece of information that we gather: “Does this make sense for our readers?”

Other longstanding magazines serve American ECPs. We don’t want to repeat what they do well. Our only goal is to help you build your vision care business. So we keep things short, because we know how busy you are. And we keep things fun — because we know that’s the most enjoyable and productive way to do business. Like friends talking over coffee. Or neighbors talking over the fence.

Anyway, you started sending us your reactions from the very first issue, and they haven’t slowed down. Lots of you have told us we’re the only industry magazine you read cover-to-cover. Or that we’re the only magazine you eagerly await in the mail. Some of you have even paid the ultimate compliment — calling us the best magazine you’ve seen in 10, 20 or even more years in the business.

So as this first year winds down, everyone here at INVISION says, “Thank you. Thank you all so much.” Our holiday gift to you is four more issues of INVISION — 10 in all for 2015. We’ll keep bringing you the best in business intelligence. You keep those emails coming. Let us know what you’re doing, and how we can better help you succeed.
