Editor’s Note: Success Starts Here and Now

See you in NYC (and maybe in the winner’s circle)

Ah, spring. It’s March, and life is good in the eyecare and eyewear business. The days are getting longer, the weather is finally getting better, many people have tax refund checks (or that extra gas money) to spend — and best of all, thousands of eyecare pros will soon descend on New York City for a few days of networking, seminars, parties and stocking up on the season’s new looks at Vision Expo East. SECO is this month, too, with its excellent educational opportunities. INVISION will be at both shows, so be sure to stop by and greet our staff.

We’re especially excited to sponsor the first-ever Crowd Sourced Learning track at Vision Expo East. It’s your chance to take part in lively interactive discussions with top speakers on such topics as online marketing, team building and practice excellence. And it’s fitting that INVISION sponsor these sessions since every issue of our magazine is crowd-sourced and shaped by working ECPs. For the latest examples, check out this month’s Big Story (“The Art of Adding On”) and special feature (“50 Awesome Things About Eyecare”).

You may remember that INVISION won the New Magazine Design Award from FOLIO: magazine last year. We’re now one of four finalists for the Best Single Issue (November-December 2014) from the Jesse Neal Awards honoring the best in business journalism. It’s an incredible honor for a brand-new magazine — and we couldn’t have done it without the support of our readers and advertisers, so thank you!

And speaking of awards, entries are still open for our second annual America’s Finest Optical Retailers competition. It’s easy to enter; just go to invmag.us/finest. (Entries are due by April 1, so be sure to check this off before you head to VEE.) We’ll honor the nation’s top small independent vision care businesses in our July-August issue, and we’ll write about more of you in our monthly America’s Finest features. Don’t miss this opportunity … it comes around only once a year.
Wishing you the best in business,

Wishing you the very best in business,
