Smart Ways to Use Website Plug-Ins

My website designer, EyeCarePro, integrates with companies like DearDoc which can put a bot on your website. Since our demographic is 90% Spanish speaking, it’s beautiful that our bot is bilingual. She’s pre-programmed to answer certain questions and allows patients to book appointments online any time. It gives people an interactive experience and encourages them to stay longer on our site which tells Google Analytics how valuable we are. Our bounce rate is beautiful! All data DearDoc collect is put in a dashboard. We can see if patients are asking about the vision plans we accept or if their glasses are ready. Our staff is good about following up promptly. We get 40-50 requests a month, which leads to about 30 appointments, of which about 60% are new patients. It’s worth the investment.

We got rid of our phone system and fax and paid a subscription to Weave to give us a VoIP system with one line. It allows me to employ remote workers in Brazil, the Philippines, and Argentina. They can answer calls, triage patients, and verify insurance. If someone in the practice needs to answer a question, they will send a message via the Weave app and transfer the call. It works seamlessly for my patients. There’s a Weave app on our phone so staff can text and call patients and there’s an app on the computer desktop so anyone can answer calls by plugging in their headset. It’s a huge practice builder to be able to respond to a patient immediately. Weave has also integrated with our EHR system and there’s a floating button on our mobile site where they can contact the office 24/7. About 75% of text messages via the button come after 6pm.
