SECO International Names 2020 President

Dr. J. Max Ernst, OD

(PRESS RELEASE) ATLANTA, GA — SECO International, an educational conference providing optometrists and ophthalmic professionals with learning opportunities since 1923, announces that Dr. J. Max Ernst, OD, will become its next president.

Ernst will officially accept the honor during the House of Delegates meeting, held during SECO 2019, on Saturday, Feb. 23, from 3:15 p.m.  to 5:00 p.m. at the New Orleans Theater at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.

Ernst began his studies at the University of Michigan, obtaining his BS in Biology in 1981. He was awarded the Doctor of Optometry degree after attending the University of Houston College of Optometry from 1982 to 1986.

Ernst has been practicing in Kentucky for 33 years, running a successful business with the support of his wife, Carol, and their two daughters. Ernst served as president of Kentucky Optometric Association in 1997 and 1998 and was the Kentucky Optometric Association OD of the Year in 1999.
