It has been nearly 40 years since Breast Cancer Awareness Month began in 1985.

Globally, breast cancer remains the most common form of cancer effecting women. However, the highest rates of breast cancer worldwide are found in North America.

Blenders Eyewear, Bolle Safety, GUESS Eyewear, and Morel are among a host of eyewear companies this month that have joined the cause, either through donations or the promotion of special eyewear in pink in support of breast cancer awareness.

Blenders Eyewear has partnered with Keep A Breast, a Los Angeles-based non-profit, since 2017.

The partnership has generated more than $240,000 in support of Keep A Breast’s mission in breast cancer awareness and prevention.

Blenders Eyewear this year launched three new eyewear and accessory products, in which 100% of the profits will be donated to Keep A Breast.

The B714 model’s protective shields provide effective side, top and bottom protection and maximum comfort.

The B714 model is available through November 30 (while supplies last) from the RX Webshop and partner opticians.

The B714 also is available in a small version.

Bollé Safety also is offering a limited edition of its flagship Rush+ Small safety eyewear model.

This model is available through the end of October while supplies last.

“As a leading player, we are committed to supporting causes in line with our values,” says Anne-Sophie François, Vice-President of  Bollé Safety. “This action enables us to highlight the role of women in the industrial world, still a very male-dominated sector, and to raise funds for associations fighting breast cancer.”

Bollé Safety was founded more than 130 years ago in France. The brand today is found in 100 countries, helping meet the safety needs of 20 million workers worldwide.
