Warby Parker Plans to Approach 100-Store Mark in 2018

It currently has 64 locations.

Warby Parker, which currently operates 64 brick-and-mortar stores in the U.S., hopes soon to approach the 100-location mark, CNBC reports.

The eyewear retailer has also tried out other formats, such as pop-up locations and mobile stores in buses.

Warby Parker co-CEO Neil Blumenthal told CNBC the company is “trying to approach retail expansion in a very deliberate manner, where we are testing and learning.”

At the beginning of 2017, the company had 46 stores.

Blumenthal has said it’s possible his company will one day operate between 800 and 1,000 stores. The company made its mark as an e-commerce retailer but has since 2013 been opening physical stores.
