Controversy Prompts Name Change for French Sunglass Line

Company says, “We never wanted to upset anyone.”

That French eyewear company that caught global flack for a line of Anorexxxy sunglasses has changed the brand’s name to Axxxexxxy, and apologized to those who felt the original name glorified an eating disorder. “This name was not meant to be taken seriously at all,” said a company statement. “We were obviously in no way paying any kind of homage to anorexia as it is a terrible illness. We never wanted to upset anyone.”
