(PRESS RELEASE) The long-term partnership builds on Inspecs’ product expertise, as well as highlighting both companies’ commitments towards environmental responsibility: over the years, Inspecs has worked with O’Neill to align with the company’s sustainability initiative, O’Neill Blue, started by O’Neill founder Jack O’Neill. This focuses on reducing plastic waste and having a positive impact on our planet (33% of O’Neill Apparel is sustainable).
In light of this, Inspecs has recently created a sustainable frame for O’Neill called WOVE, made from recycled ghost fishing nets with mineral glass lenses (a natural, recyclable material with superior clarity) and recycled rubber touchpoints. Even the sunglasses case is formed from recycled plastic bottles.
Speaking about the renewed license deal, Robin Totterman, CEO of Inspecs stated: “I am delighted to be extending our partnership with O’Neill, which builds on our longstanding relationship since 2013. Our values match those of O’Neill’s as we work together towards a more sustainable future. I look forward to continuing to innovate with O’Neill, both in the optical and sunglasses categories”.
“We are thrilled to extend our partnership with Inspecs. Inspecs has shown over the years its expertise in delivering outstanding designs and a constant push to develop innovations and sustainable solutions that matches the vision of our founder Jack O’Neill. We can’t wait to achieve many more successes together,” said Ben Tazet, merchandising & licensing manager at O’Neill.
