International Vision Charity Announces Addition to Board of Directors

(PRESS RELEASE) GoodVision USA, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the gift of good vision to underserved communities worldwide, is pleased to announce the appointment of Cira Collins to its Board of Directors. Cira Collins joins Dibby Bartlett, Blair Wong, Kathy Smith, Karsten Wolf, and Sally Hunt on the GoodVision USA Board of Directors.

In 2022, Cira achieved the prestigious ABOM designation, Master in Ophthalmic Optics, from the American Board of Opticianry. This designation is bestowed upon a select group of individuals in recognition of their expertise in ophthalmic optics, commitment to continuous learning, and dedication to sharing their knowledge with opticians globally. Cira is also a certified Continuing Education speaker accredited by the ABO, delivering presentations at both state and national levels.

With a background in the non-profit sector and international public health and development, Cira brings a wealth of experience to her role on the Board. Having resided in Africa for nearly four years and proficient in four languages besides English, she holds a Master of Public Health degree with honors from Tulane University and a BA in Sociology and Psychology from Western Washington University.

Currently representing Lafont in the Pacific Northwest, Cira remains actively engaged in industry education, recently delivering the keynote address at the Optician’s Association of America’s Leadership Conference. Her expertise and dedication closely align with the mission and values of GoodVision USA, making her a valuable addition to the Board of Directors.
