The Big survey

The Big Survey 2020: Politics

42. Who are you voting for in the 2020 presidential election?

Data Dig: The political preferences of ECPs follow national trends: Trump supporters are more likely to be men than women, and vice versa for Biden backers. Only 12% of Biden supporters surveyed cited taxes as a top issue; 68% said social issues such as racism are a major concern. Only 7% of respondents who consider COVID-19 a big issue support Trump. Similarly, 70% of ECPs who would not get a vaccine shot were Trump supporters, while 62% of Biden fans plan to get a COVID-19 shot when they can. The more an ECP earned, the more likely they were to be planning to vote Republican, with 29% of those making over $250,000 a year identifying as Trump supporters, versus only 8% of those who made less than $40,000 in 2019.
